(North Shore Rebels)North Shore Rebels netminder Cassidy Hendricks earned her first two shutouts of the season on Vancouver Island in Week 20, leading the Rebels to a pair of wins over the Island Surge.
Hendricks stopped 24 shots in a 5-0 victory Saturday night at the Panorama Rec Centre, then turned aside all 39 shots faced in a 1-0 win Sunday morning at the Esquimalt Arena.
The former University of Saskatchewan Huskies goalie is currently third among SCWHL goalies with a 2.09 goals against average, and is ranked second with a ,.935 save percentage.
Second Star: Breanna Hollingshead
(Burnaby Mountain Capitals)With a .954 save percentage over two games, Breanna Hollingshead backstopped the Burnaby Mountain Capitals to a win and a tie.
Hollingshead blocked 25 of 27 shots Saturday night at the Richmond Ice Centre in a 2-2 tie with the Richmond Devils, then stopped all but one of the 38 shots she faced in a 2-1 upset victory over the South Fraser TNT at Planet Ice – Coquitlam Sunday evening.
Third Star: Emily Bajkov
(Meadow Ridge Moose)Emily Bajkov tallied three points to lead the Meadow Ridge Moose to a 4-2 victory over the Richmond Devils Friday night at the Langley Sportsplex.
Bajkov netted two goals, including the winning goal with eight minutes to play, and added one assist.
In 17 games this season, she has 10 goals and seven assists to rank 10
th in the SCWHL scoring race.
